Designing
Every rug begins as a vision. Our designers sketch intricate patterns — from traditional Persian medallions to modern geometric forms — using both hand-drawn techniques and computer-aided design tools. Color palettes are carefully planned to harmonize with global interior trends.
Design tools include graph paper mapping (taleem), color block planning, and digital visualization. Each design can take 2–4 weeks to finalize.

Yarn Selection
Quality begins with the finest raw materials. We source premium wool from New Zealand, India, and Central Asia, alongside natural cotton, silk, and jute. Each yarn is selected for its strength, softness, lustre, and dye-absorption quality.
Wools are tested for fiber length, micron count, and tensile strength. We also offer organic certified materials under GOTS standards.

Dyeing
Our master dyers transform raw yarns into a stunning palette of colors using both traditional vegetable dyes and modern OEKO-TEX certified chemical dyes. The dyeing process is carefully controlled to ensure color fastness and consistency across large production runs.
Vegetable dyes use natural sources like pomegranate, indigo, and turmeric. Modern dyes meet REACH and OEKO-TEX standards for safety.

Weaving
The heart of the process — skilled artisans bring the design to life on traditional looms. For hand-knotted rugs, each knot is individually tied, often taking months to complete a single piece. Hand-tufted rugs use a specialized gun tool for efficient, high-quality output.
A 9×12 ft hand-knotted rug with 100 KPSI can take 3–6 months to weave. Our weavers achieve up to 400 KPSI for luxury pieces.

Washing
After weaving, rugs undergo thorough hand-washing and deep cleaning. This process softens the pile, brightens colors, and removes any loose fibers or dust. Sun-drying on traditional drying frames preserves the natural texture and sheen.
The washing process is where the rug truly comes alive. Multiple rinse cycles ensure no chemical residue remains.

Latexing
For hand-tufted rugs, a layer of natural latex is applied to the back of the rug to secure the tufts and add stability. This is then covered with a cotton or jute backing for a clean, durable finish.
We use low-VOC, non-toxic latex compounds. The backing meets European standards for indoor air quality.

Binding & Edging
The edges of each rug are carefully bound using matching yarn or fabric tape. This step frames the rug and prevents fraying. For hand-knotted pieces, the fringe ends are expertly trimmed and finished.
Binding styles include overcast, whip stitch, and machine binding depending on the rug type. Fringe can be hand-knotted or machine-finished.

Clipping & Carving
Master clippers use professional shears to even out the pile height and create the final surface texture. Carved designs add dimensional depth to patterns, creating a bas-relief effect that catches the light beautifully.
Pile heights range from 3mm (flatweave) to 40mm (shaggy). Carved designs require an additional 1–2 days of skilled hand-work per rug.

Quality & Finishing
Every rug undergoes a rigorous final quality inspection. Dimensions are measured, color consistency is checked, pile defects are repaired, and the rug is photographed for record. Only pieces that pass our strict quality criteria are packed for export.
Our QC team checks 22 quality parameters per rug. Approved rugs are rolled, wrapped in protective packaging, and prepared for international shipping.
